Back to the amendment bill then. It was filed backed by signatures of 197 Representatives, of which 1 was "unintelligible", 15 were repeats, 1 from someone who had left his position after signing and before it was filed, and 8 "didn't check out". God only knows the details regarding this last category. (). As time went on after the bill was forwarded to the committee, tensions with the veep cooled down, and many of the craven douches wanted to remove their signatures. I think it's not possible to nullify a bill by rescinding enough signatures, but at any rate, they didn't want to remain on Mourãeste's shit list, presumably. Precisely 16 of the 172 valid signatories requested so, all of whom were duly told to eat shit by the House executive c

Anonymous 09/18/2019 (Wed) 21:16:46 No. 66791 >>66789 >Naturally. They can still happen on the way to collapse as well. It is, I'm afraid to say, out of anyone's hands. >It's a more pessimistic way of saying "the people, and the people alone, are the motive force in the making of world history". Collapse is inevitable, and not all revolutionaries in the world working together can stop it, nor, for that matter, engender it. At the most, they can set the clock back or forward a few moments. Their actual role is to prepare the people for that moment when opportunity comes knocking. Kinda, but we are on the way already, its better happen real fast and here is a thing, these people are gonna start from the beggining, they will learn, in the struggle, all the tactics and stragetegies that people that are in the struggle already know, i am not say otherwise, but we could help acellerate this process a lot. Also, people had been saying that capitalism is gonna colapse for at least 200 years now, doesnt matter how bad things are, capitalism is not gonna end by itself, i think we are most close to an end of capitalism in the 80s and in the begining of the twenty century than we are now. >The end of an era, I suppose. Tho the new one has already started, it's one of the new morbid symptoms. It's the thing I'm talking about with communication channels and shit. One of the consequences of the death of Community is that only MSM, specifically TV, can create new public personalities. Tho I guess social media has risen to that as well, and it might be even worse. In other words, our politics, which has always been centered around personalities, will now be centered around celebrities.

Those are also countries with literal thousands of years of capital acumulation and nation building behind them, not even our jungles are used to human interaction

The legislation ruling these procedures doesn't even mention the internal workings of the committee, it just cites the 5 session limit (article 202: ), but I'm guessing that, with their arcane knowledge, the House only starts counting up to those 5 meetings after the appraiser is assigned.

Are you from Brasília, this sounds as a hopeless as leftism in there, São paulo is okay in terms reality checks though the middle and upper class are total asshats.

Hmmm, it seems Lula's release wasn't "automatic". All convicts who can benefit from this ruling have to apply individually, and even then a judge will have to approve it. Really looks like this was a gift to Lula while keeping the rest of the prison population behind bars since they can't afford lawyers WEW Anyway, I guess he refused to go on house arrest, but was OK with taking this opportunity since he's free to move around. Some other interesting details. The ruling was 6x5, with the last, tie-breaking vote being cast by Toffoli. Yes, that craven toad who brownnosed the military officers even before the election last year was decided. I think this reinforces the notion that the old scum is undoing the evil spell it helped cast. Which brings to mind another fact from early this year, during the absolutely barbaric way that Lula's right to attend his relatives' funerals was handled. The first time, Car Wash just plain denied it, and realizing how badly that reflected on them, decided to let him attend the second funeral, but conditioned it -- without any legal basis, as far as I know -- on him not adressing anyone in public.

You can't end poverty by decree, after all. Affecting the base is, ultimately, moving matter to and fro, which requires labor in more ways than one. Affecting the superstructure, now, is more or less free, in as much as all it requires you to reach a certain level of material wealth in order to be at the top of the culture industry. Once you reach such a level, affecting the superstructure becomes essentially free. The marginal cost of goading the cattle into believe this idiocy instead of that stupidity is zero. Actually, scratch that. Mucking with the superstructure is exactly how they make a profit, either with something rather trivial like a new assembly-line k-pop band, or generally foisting a soul-sucking culture of entrepreneurship. Theoretically, there's nothing saying that disinformation, misinformation or just plain useless information has any more or less market worth than useful information, but we all know how that goes. Capitalism rewards evil behavior at all levels. Cue Adorno's prophecy regarding the capitalist cultural industry. Porky gets paid to shit the world up. At any rate, this phenomenon, the commodification of (hyper-)reality, is the Clique Aqui logical conclusion of the commodification of information. Well, on hindsight, in a system which commodifies information, the ubiquituousness if the infosphere would coincide with commodification of (hyper-)reality. Seems really simple, but I wonder if a single soul predicted that. Well then, the phenomenon already happened in Brazil and, as far as I can see, it's ongoing around the world. What remains to be seen is whether it will fade away like any morbid symptom does in due time, or whether it's actually irreversible brain damage (which makes sense, because because it feels like something in the public unconscious has been broken). The latter implies that this horrible post-post-modernity will last until the end of capitalism, whereas post-post-modernity itself implies capitalism won't be taken down, but collapse. Quite the combo, even if it's utterly impossible to guess a time frame.

My mobile was set to automanage timezones, and switched to daylight savings time by itself. Which doesn't exist anymore, as per presidential decree, so I woke up one hour earlier than needed. I'm not sure why he even bothered with it. Among the many, many inane or monstrous causes he took up over the decades, DST being a communist plot wasn't among them, to the best of my knowledge. My only guess is that he did it simply so he could say he did something. And I do actually mean this without sarcasm. The only explanation I can think of for nixing DST is to entertain the circus audience and claim "another" "promise" was "fulfilled".

Understanding the nature of this oddity might be central to solving it. Try as I might, can't see how the fuck this happened. The best explanation I can muster is that, with the entire political system discredited and Bozo's marketeers selling him as the last hope of whatever, people have resigned themselves to complete fatalism. This makes sense on its face, but it's too idealistic an explanation, I feel. >>70518 Lula Livre would have benefitted immensely from marketing wizards more in tune with modern media trends. It seems like all their publicity and public relations are conducted directly by the exact same stuffy bureaucrats who run the party.
